Dr. Scott Youn, OD
Dr. Youn received a Doctorate of Optometry degree with High honors in 1993 from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University. He also has a B.S. in Vision Science from Ferris State University. Dr. Youn devotes a significant amount of time each year to exploring new eye care technology, and applies advanced concepts in optometry to his daily eye care. His area of interests are myopia prevention, reading improvements and vision therapy, and Keratoconus contact lens fitting on visually challenged patients . He is a regular guest speaker for the area churches and high schools on eye health related issues. Dr Youn holds B.S. in chemical engineering from Chonbuk National University, Korea. He is near pro audio electronics tech, avid woodworker, hobby machinist and buggy java php programmer. His wide array of hobbies makes him better analyst, detailed problem solver as well as optometric craftsman. He is married with 3 children- Peter, Paul and Phillip. He is bilingual (Korean) and enjoys golf, ski and snowboarding.
