Dr. Scott Youn, OD

Dr. Scott Youn is a detail-oriented, tech-savvy optometrist who emphasizes old-fashioned kindness. He specializes in whole family medical & optical eye care with an emphasis on myopia control, specialty contact lens evaluations, children's eye care, vision therapy for reading problems and the treatment of eye infection & diseases.

Dr. Youn received a Doctorate of Optometry degree with High honors in 1993 from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. He also has a B.S. in Vision Science from Ferris State University.

Dr. Youn has been practicing world-class optometry in Southeast Michigan for over 14 years. Dr. Youn devotes a significant amount of time each year to exploring new eye care technology, and applies these advanced concepts in optometry to his daily eye care. He is one of the very few optometrists who have been affiliated with and co-managed Lasik patients since 1994. He is also one of the only eye doctors in Southeast Michigan who is CRT (FDA approved corneal refractive therapy) and VST (Vision Shaping Technology) certified.

Dr. Youn is a well respected contact lens practitioner among peers for post-corneal transplant contact lens fittings and keratoconus contact lens fittings. His technology savvy attitude allows our office to be equipped to reflect recent studies and researches on eye care technology. He is a faculty member of Troy Hope Senior College and Southfield Evergreen Senior College. He is affiliated with the Windsor Laser Eye Institute and Beitman Laser Eye Institute .

Dr. Youn is a long time resident of Southeast Michigan. He is married with 3 children- Peter, Paul and Phillip. He is an avid woodworker and enjoys golf and snow boarding.
